It keep saying cannot created dmod.Bad D-mod name or a name that already exist.

Instead of swearing, you might read that message again and think about what it means.

Do you already have a DMod with that name? If not, then the name is "bad", whatever that means. I'm expecting that it either means that there are invalid characters in it (accented letters, punctuation or spaces may all be problematic), or that it is too long (given that Dink is old, I'm guessing it is possible that it may not be longer than 8 characters).

In any case, just try a different, simpler name, and see if it works.

No i dont the only dmod names there are Dink smallwood and Mystery island

i called it Cannibal then it did not work then i renamed The Cannibal still did not work.

Try something less than eight characters.

Less the 8 chracters well then how the did ACBCDCE........ D-mod was able to be made then?

I'm pretty sure the directory has to be less than or equal to 8. Not sure about the title though.

The directory for ABC...XYZ is just 'abcd.'

Can you open existing dmods?

I can open the original dink smallwood and mystery island.

no capitals and 7 or less letters (its an old game remember - used to take nothing fancy in the name or it becomes unable to cope

You can't have spaces in your folder name or the frontend won't load it.

I assume you're trying to create the dmod with Windinkedit or some crap like that?

Just create the folder for the dmod manually. (Copy a skeleton dmod folder, and rename it. There should be a skeleton dmod with Windinkedit. Or, download one here.) Cannibal is perfectly fine for a folder name.

Becasue Sabre and Redink1 are way better then i am i hate to admit it but its true or atleast in their primes.

Are you using windidinkedit 2, I am using 1 and I have no promlems, though I couldn't work with 2.

Nope still dosent work i put the skeleton folder into the dink folder and nothing works.

OK now all of the D-mods are glitching like hell all of the titles screens are gone with"Your title goes here"
And there is white and blue lines everywhere.

It does sound like hes using windidinkedit 2 since he only has those two dmods, Pred why not try it with windidinkedit 1.

Ive now using the skeleton D-mod but I cant create a new screen it says "Real time Dink Smallwood map editor has stopped working.

What piece of rubbish nothing works properly with this.

did you copy over the dink.dat as well? I had this problem when I tried taking skeleton files and then forgot to take dink.dat over too. Dink.dat is the file that tells the program which screens are taken and which aren't.
