Okay, I've got a simple yet probably a very hard question for all of you. I was just wondering: How long are you people actually going to stick around on this site? You know, if everything with the site's technical side continues well, and nothing unpredictable happens, can you see yourself still being on this site in 2-3, maybe even 5 years?

The reason I'm asking is because we can all plainly see that this site is dying. New files, reviews and forum posts are slowing down like heck. We've still only got one new D-Mod this entire year and we're more than halfway through it. It may very well end up being the only D-Mod this entire year. The only way I can see the website getting revived, is if all of these epic D-Mods people are making get released at one point or another.

But in order to keep making those D-Mods, I feel us authors must know if there are still going to be people around to play them? For example, I'd very much like to make Historical Hero 3, but I really don't wish to spend 2 years on it, just to have people not play it at all.

So yeah, how long can you people see yourselves hanging out here? And will you still be here when some of those epic D-Mods will be released, and support the authors?

Man I've done 41 reviews so far this year. And I'll probably do a bunch more. I'm a little busy at the moment trying to write 6 essays but as soon as I finish I'll write do some more reviews. I'd also really like to do another script war. It motivated at least four people to script their dmods last time. I do think you're right that authors may not get honored enough for pumping something awesome out of their love-loins. I could make a post about a dmod I enjoyed twice a month or something if you'd think that'd help.

I'll probably stay around as long as magicman does.

My interest in this site will continue either until my current D-mod is completed and uploaded, or I give up on my D-mod entirely and I vanish into thin air.

Eh, I'm rather surprised by these replies. If everybody hangs out here every day, like they claim, how the heck is the activity so low? Really, I don't think it's even scientifically possible.

I pop in once in a while. I don't usually post though.

I read the posts almost every day but I don't always leave replies. I am slowly (but surely) working on my DMOD.

I don't plan on leaving the DN permanently until it has officially closed down (which I hope never happens, hehe). Even if it's only a few DMODs a year being made you never know when an especially good one will be released. And I like talking to you guys anyways.

I like reading people's reviews too, so I have to throw a big thanks to you Leprochaun. If I wasn't making my own DMOD right now I would probably do more reviews.

I pop in on most days. Every so often I'll have some time off, but I like to keep my eye on the community and make sure you're all ok. <3

I'll probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Activity is low, but the community is quite alive (well, at least it seems so).

I'll be around indefinitely. I might even play some more D-Mods someday! Who knows, maybe I'll even make one. But I think that even if not another D-Mod was released, people would still be here posting.

You've got the date wrong; that's something for april 1st.

I'm here just about daily, but I don't post unless I think I have something to add.

As for my Dmod, I currently need to support changing hardboxes in my editor; it shouldn't be hard, but it's hard enough to stop me from starting on it. Once that's done, I think I should be able to create a pretty awesome Dmod fairly quickly. So I guess I should just get off my lazy ass and do it.

I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

I visit as many times as I can, really. It's just that my computer's so slow I can hardly play anything, let alone Dink.

I'm also here almost every day and I read every single post, but I I don't post that much because either the topic doesn't interest me or I feel like I can't say anything on the subject that han't already been said!

Recently I've been insanely busy and haven't been around as much as usual... I still manage to pop in most days though, even though I don't usually have much to say.

I have 1 dev file and 1 D-Mod on the go and plans for future ones. Not planning on leaving anytime soon

I am a regular visitor since I've recently started replaying Dink DMODS.
Like others, I lurk too - and if some thread/post gets my interest I will respond with a comment.
Nearly every time I visit I learn some new thing about playing.
I hope you authors DON'T become demoralised and DO keep putting out DMODs because when I have finished replaying I will be looking for them.

I'm already demoralized, though it has nothing to do with the condition of this site. The D-mod I'm working on at the moment I have no idea when it will be done, because I want it to be of a much higher quality than it currently is. Something I can't quite do on my own. I'm working on getting my friend to join me on this project to double the creativity and hopefully bring something even more unique, and refine all the features I've already put into the thing.

Since my project has been put on hold, I still check here a few times a day, and contribute to any topic that has any interest to me. This community has always been great for discussions, and in a way, I wish I'd stop leaving here, because the conversations are so random that they're so great. But Dink overall can only hold my interest for so long.

I also lurk almost every day. I don't post much because I've already spammed up too much.

I'm with shevek and iplaydink. I generally only post when I think I have something to add. There've been some exceptions, though.

I intend to hang around for a while, too. I still have a D-Mod I need to remake (slowly, slowly), and a half-baked idea to work out further.

The Captain goes down with his ship and I announce myself as captain of the DN Bathroom since no one can stop me. If I fixed my script problem I could make Dmods easily, since I can't do much with them so far.
