I don't like the way governments operate.

But one thing that I dislike more than government, is that people allow their culture and government to convince them that they should hate people from another country because of what the country's government has done. Often, people don't even like or agree with their own governments. And yet so many will hate an entire population of people just because of where those people live. There is good people in every country, and I wish we could all get along and get rid of these stupid things called war and prejudice, and work on improving our governments. It's sad how if we're told a lot of bad things about another country (true or false), and we're given a gun and an O.K. from an authority figure, we can suddenly become different people for a while. There is a reason why people come back so messed up from war experiences. I wish this didn't happen. If people didn't allow others to tell them it was okay to murder people, than governments wouldn't have the manpower to start massive wars.

I mean, I'd say we on the Dink Network all get along pretty well, despite our major differences in where we come from. But can you imagine, pointing a gun at someone you just talked to the other day on here, because your country told you have to (or even just that it was okay)? I hate it.

Sorry, it was a charged rant. But I think it's very true. I couldn't help bringing this up after the mentioning of bombing Iraq. I guess there's not much of a solution in this post for anyone to pull out though, other than that people's way of thinking needs to change, not just in America but everywhere before war, prejudice, and hate will begin to go away. In other words, we have a long way to go before the Stanley Milgram experiment results will change...

Also I would like to say Wars are all fought for a purpose, be it corruption, money, power, cookies, land, lies, tecnology, or some other reason. Just think there is always a reason for a war, even if it wouldn't affect this period. mabye an omen predicts that if something doesn't happen to Bob then this will happen to the whole world. Also I wouldn't say we all get along, I personally hate Skull for previous experiance and Kris, since he down rates Abs work and also of personal experiance. I dislike RedDink a little since he doesn't come much any more and this site is wilting away.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say dual citizenship has to do with it, but I do think that our politicians in general are quite bad. They are good at talking and convincing, and well, not much else.

Although, I doubt the politicians are much more useful in other countries.

DackFight, You should think about what the implications of thinking you hate someone is. Hate is not a small thing, but a very serious thing. You can have trouble getting along with somebody but not necessarily hate them. Based on the dialogue I've seen between you and Skull, I wouldn't call it hate, I'd call it irritation at best.

Wars are all fought for a purpose, my problem is that most of the wars are started for very poor and oftentimes corrupt purposes.

the big thing about the Milgram experiment is that it shows that most people (more than half) will endanger other people's lives or even kill them if an authority figure tells them it's O.K. to do so. In my view, this is really bad...

It's not necessarily racist, but there are a lot of people who really think throwing bombs all over the place is the solution to all our problems. The way I see it though, bombing populations of people isn't going to solve anything, it'll just spread even more hate.
