If im going to get a car its going to be a manual becasue its cheaper and it uses less fuel.
Automatic cars are expensive and use alot of fuel.

Auto is easier to manage and allows you to focus on other things like driving in a straight line
Manual helps you control you speed a lot more and is useful full pulling up over the hills and mullock heaps of WA

Manual it has tons of grunt - u put your foot down on an automatic and it says aye what? a manual says YES SIR!! heh

Manual take awhile to learn to drive it and everything but once you get the whole clutch down and know when to shift and what gears to be in and master hills, With a manual you have far better gear control. You're better off getting a license on a manual car since you can drive an automatic if you have a manual license.
I just got my first car and it's a manual. Primary reason was the price, but since I've never drove an automatic before I had nothing to compare it to... I always thought automatic was reaaaally great and that's why it's expensive, but I guess it has downsides too.

I heard that they favor automatic in some countries over manual. Is Canada one of them?
