Quest for Dorinthia: Special Edition
Having a rough time of killing four soldiers. I usually just let them kill eachother until there's 1 left, but I still always get killed. any suggestions?
That is the best strategy certainly. Cn you tell me where you are in the game?
Aaaahhh... you're there. In the beginning of the game (at least until you reach Athello) the best strategy is to RUN. You can't kill them yet...
Then how do I get in the farmhouse with Milder? Just build up my stats and kill the last guard, or is there a secret entrance?
Go and see Tyrion AFTER he's given you the scroll. He can help you get into the farm house again.

I don't know what your problem is now, but I found if I killed one of the guards too early it bugs up because the guard script doesn't "count" the death of the guard if you kill him too early. I had to fiddle with the scripts myself to continue the game. I don't know if this is related.
btw Bill while you're fixing that I couldn't trigger the boat in QfD 2 to take me to the main island. I think I couldn't trigger the 'touch' on the boat and had to move it closer.

You aren't supposed to kill the guards until AFTER you get the sword. Tyrion tells you where to go next but you should go to the house to the right and up from his house.
As to the touch not working, I tested it numerous times and didn't have an issue. Are you saying it's too far away?

Yeah I know you're not supposed to kill them until after, but I was able to, and it broke the game. And it sounds like RossVanDerH has broken his game too by killing one of the guards before geting the sword and he'll encounter a problem when Milder tells him to go outside and kill the guards and be unable to, since one is already dead.
Strange that it worked for you. For me I paid the fee and then couldn't trigger the boat. Actually, I think the boat had the same script attached to it as the guy you have to pay.. So I had to attach the boat script to the boat and move it closer. I'm not sure if that's what it is supposed to be or you trigger the touch on the bridge or something, but it didn't work for me
