i'm listening to a song called the retard rap..."oh i can't walk, i have a wheelchair, i pee on myself but i don't care, i wear thick glasses cuz i can't see, but if i can see, i can't read" wow. i'm bored out of my mind, and i can't think straight. i'm currently working on modding 3 different games. yes, 3...dink, starcraft, and halflife:counterstrike. i think i'm putting too much of a burden on myself. what i'm probably going to do is go ahead and finish out my map on starcraft (it involves Jay and Silent Bob making a movie), which i'm almost finished with, forget about counterstrike, and concentrate on my recent project in dink. ah, dink. scripting isn't that big of a problem to me anymore, but the area of graphics kills me. i was born with tons of natural talents, but i've never been much of an artist. one really cool thing i found out last night though is that i don't have to be. i found a really cool program while surfing the web on my uber-56k modem. okay, my 56k modem isn't uber, but if it was, then my life would be about a thousand times easier. anyway, back to the point. the program is called pov-ray. some of you have probably heard about it, but if you haven't, then i'll tell you a bit about it. you type in code and it draws a 3d picture for you. i was like "ha!" at first, but then i downloaded it and was stunned. it only takes about 300 hundred lines of the drawing code to make a perfectly wondrous scene, and probably about only 50 to make a new character. to make a whole animation of the character, all you'd probably have to do is change a few numbers in your code. best of all, the picture can be converted to bmp format. it probably has some limits as to what it can do, of course, but it looked really cool to me.
