I recon 360 is the best followed by Ps3 then wii.

Personally, I don't prefer any of them. The PS3 and the Wii have a mediocre library, and the XBox has too many retarded fans that I'm afraid to go near it. >_>

Last generation, though, I'd go with PS2. In my honest opinion, that was the last good console. PC is also great because of it's near endless library of games and functions.

Edit: Yeah, the Wii was indeed unique, but it was more of an experiment than an actual game system. If you look at it, it's as gimmicky as anything could get. Well, aside from the 3DS at least.

ps2 did not have enough power to handle doom 3 the xbox did.

and what make makes the wii unique havent you heard of the NES power glove or the ps2 eye toy which came out before the wii.

Heh, the 3DS is a really gimmicky console. It's problem is that it's just advertised as 3D without those stupid glasses. O)therwise, it's good.
Now, if I had to market it, I'd say, "Oh look! It has an 800 MHz processor! Excellent graphics! Mic and touchscreen! Booga!"
Also, the launch titles were shoot and the whole device was useless until the eShop update. Then, the games on the eShop were shoot and just the same as on the DSi, with Nintendo palming week-old games on us as "New!" Bah, I bought The Lost Town: The Dust a week before they said it was new.
I think it should have been released in November 2011, when the good games were out.

Predator: PS2 was the best console ever, and it sold more than any other. It was less powerful than the Xbox, which was shoot IMO, because it was released earlier.
And the Wii had a motion controller, fully integrated, while those accessories for NES and PS2 were sold separately.
The PS2 controller was tiny? Not at all. It was the most comfortable controller I ever played with, because of the palm rests and position of the analog sticks, whereas the left analog stick of the Xbox is at an awkward position. And I'm Asian, hey, I can play! Is this a snap at Asians? We're not small at all.

I never played Xbox, but I've heard the library was horrible compared to the PS2. And of course I heard of the Power glove, who the hell hasn't? I mean seriously..

I played the Xbox at my friend's house once, and I was like WTF. The games were one of those annoying formulaic ones like Ben 10 and such.
The graphics don't look better at all, and nearly all games sucked.

Here's what PS2 have that XBox doesn't. Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. Right now i own PS2, NDS, GameBoy Micro and the NES Clone but I am getting interested on PS3 and no i won't get Xbox 360. I don't want to pay for playing online and besides there are good games on PS3 such as MGS4, God of War 3 and not to forget. A special version of Marvel vs Capcom 2 dedicated just for this console.

Oh and i disagree that Wii is a crap. I've played the games on it such as Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros, Call of Duty Modern Warefare (I am not joking. There is a Wii version of this game and it handles pretty well.) and Resident Evil 4.

ps2 is quite a decent console, speaking in terms of games with good gameplay.
nintendo DS has a few good ones, animal crossing was kinda cool, and mario party i liked.

Sims 2 castaway, tha Jak series, crash bandicoot, to name a few are good examples of ps2 gameplay.

Best handheld is the PSP IMO, but it has too few games. Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3, Crisis Core, The 3rd Birthday and Kingdom Hearts were good.
The DS has plenty of great games. Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, I liked.

Wii got few awesome games. I own a wii, Gamecube and a Playstation, but only the wii is in mah apartment. The next one, WiiU, seems strange with their huge controllers with touchscreens. And SSB4 will be released on that console which makes it a must-have.

This generation I would say it's ALL about the games and not the console anymore. Like, last generation, you could just buy a PS2 and get 90% of the good games you wanted to play. This generation I had to buy every console to be able to play the games I wanted.

Wii has a generally crappy games library I would say though, but it has a few gems like Project Zero 4, Silent Hill Shattered Memories and the recently released, AMAZING Xenoblade.

PS2 is the best console. I would have said PSX, but PS2 allows you to play PSX games, which were the best ever, and it allows you to obviously play PS2 games on top of it, and there are many great PS2 games.

None of the consoles you mentioned really deliver it for me. Mainly because 95% of the games for them suck.

Yeah, the wii game library really sucks. There are only, as mentioned, a few gems.

Ps3. I enjoy old games, like Skull pointed out (yes, you can play PSX games on Ps3) but I mainly use it as a blue-ray player. Brb, off to play some Crash Bandicoot / oddworld.

I like the 360 the best, followed by the PS3 and then the Wii.

Old generation I'd definitely go Gamecube over PS2. Nintendo had the best systems for a while, then all nintendo really made was games, but sony made all sorts of electronics so they received more money to help advance their gaming system, and then Microsoft made their system, and I have to say, 360 is probably the best system out there right now. 360 has the most funding and they've breached a new form of gaming with the kinect, it's not amazing right now, but it's only getting better and better. I don't know how much longer nintendo will last, they have a certain set of games keeping them alive, (Mario cart, super smash bros, Zelda, ect.) Nintendo might have to stop making new systems since they're just loosing money right now. The Ds is probably their best selling item right now.
