New Board Features/Bug Fixes
Features:
* Topics can now be 'Sticky', so they appear at the top of the first page. For Threaded and Column-Threaded Users, the replies to a 'Sticky' post will not be visible on the index, because that would take up quite a lot of space.
* The &mstyle and &fstyle parameters in the most URLs have been removed. It was an idea so people without cookies could view the board in whatever style they wanted, though it never worked right.
Bug Fixes:
* The 'Next Page' button was broken for people using the 'Message Board' style or the 'Threaded' index. Thanks to nitronic for pointing it out.
* There has been a problem with some people being logged out while posting a reply, so their post appears as a Ghost. Now it should tell you that you've been logged out, and allow you to enter in your password.
* The ¤ bug that has been appearing off-and-on over the entire lifespan of The Dink Network has been fixed once again. WC broke it, then fixed it the wrong way, then I fixed it the correct way.
Undocumented Features:
* Did you know that you can view just General and Development forums if you wish, or any other combination of forums? Just seperate their Forum ID numbers by commas (experiment to determine them). For example, this link shows just General and Development forums: http://www.dinknetwork.com/forum.cgi?FID=1,2. Thanks to Chrispy for suggesting it way back around February or so, if my memory ir correct.
* The Search page was extremely overhauled when the new forum was put into place, allowing you to search by username, subject, and message. If you haven't visited it yet, check it out.
