WHY?
I downloaded dink a year ago and I lurked the forums a couple of times after.When I lurked I saw that everyone was nice and funny and everyone was helping each other.The DN was very active too.But when I joined a couple of months ago it was the complete opposite.Why is it like thir?Why couldn't it be like before?

Partly yes, but I think these threads are mainly a symptom, not a cause. The main problem is the enormous bluntness that some people have been displaying recently. There are no normal threads where we can discuss something because certain people just want to be heard and will post anywhere even if they have no meaningful contribution whatsoever. Honestly I can't remember when the last good discussion I had on here was. (The last discussion not about the community that is.)
In the past you'd use internet using dail-up, so you'd have to spend your time wisely. Nowadays there are people desperate for attention who can spend hours and hours on the internet to try to get attention. And the old-timers can't keep up with all the drivel that is filling up the forum because they actually have jobs and still have a limited amount of time.
In the old days people came here because they wanted to have fun. Nowadays people just come here because they want to be heard.

Uh... Yeah. I can't see any problem with having the same character. There aren't really that many to choose from you know. Since duckhater has a different background and a different accent I think his choice is fine.

It's been a while since I've been commenting on the board, but I've been lurking. There are practically no new mods or projects in the works, and haven't been in a long time. There is just nothing to do here any more other than argue. So the bored people are doing just what bored people tend to do: bicker and argue to pass the time. I think when we have some new mods do discuss, everyone should settle down again for a while.

That's mostly true but...
It's certainly not true that no new projects are in the makings. There are lots of projects in the makings. Others should just act nice on the board and contribute their own half, such as reviews, screenshots and maybe even their own, smaller and less anticipated D-Mods. If they do this, people would be more interested in contributing, then they'd play new Mods, have no reasons to complain, and we'd be a happy family again. But people, indeed, are too inactive atm.
