A serious debate(unlike my other thread)
The subject is ''why incest is wrong/right.And please start the debate with a smart point. And if your wondering why I made this,it's because I love learning alot(especially stuff related to genetics) and what better way to learn than through a serious debate? And by 'incest' I mean marriage of cousins, not sibblings.
Ummm... do I really wanna take a part in this conversation?
I wouldn't really call marriage of cousins as "incest". If I'm completely honest, I'm not for incest at all, but I don't think it's as horrible as some people make it seem either. However, when talking about marrying your cousins, I think everybody has the right to love someone, and get married, no matter how horrible/sick/weird it may seem to other people.
Obviously, there are those who disagree but that's just my two pennies.

Cousin-marriage is not exactly an uncommon occurrence, certainly not my preference, though. The main reason for why incest is wrong is that children spawned incestuously have a much higher chance of negative genetic mutation/ frailty. See Tutankhamen for more information.
@Skull
Dude, that's the exact same way I feel.

HEY LOOK! someone finally agreed with skulls point of view!
i didnt think it was possible...
(See? Skulls not so abstract after all!)

Zeddexx, I think you're confusing me with another. Our prime minister is over there. ->

As long as it's three or four generations apart, I'm fine with it. Oh, and no same last name.
So you made a debate about incest, but then you decided you only wanted to do one part of incest.
If you trace your bloodline back to the beginning you'll find we're all brothers and sisters. I'm not referring to the adam and eve fairy tale. Back in the beginning of homosapien life the men fathered many children with all the women. And they even did so with their daughters. And we ended up fine.
People can be incest if they choose too. It's true it can lead to slight genetic differences, which seem to be bad. But maybe it could also lead to a type of evolution we refuse to see.
There are known cases are people getting more webbed. This wouldn't be a negative biological change. If anything the opposite, sure, it may look gross, but that's only because it doesn't look normal.
I can guarantee people with fingers webbed to their knuckles will be able to swim much faster than people who don't.
Who's to say that these changes are for better or worse.

But if you're arguing fertility, you could just counter it with darwinism.
I wouldn't worry about the posts of a person who doesn't know his own gender.

We all get confused sometimes.
