Hey, Redink1...
I was wondering if it is possible to have a section in which you can see who has released what files - and perhpas who has reviewed what.
No, I'm not talking about the rankings, but I always felt the rankings were a nice overview of everything - hence the thought. Perhaps something that looks like the rankings but then without the rankings part?

No, nothing of the kind. But the only thing I can compare it to, is with ranking, since those were an overview.
I know the rankings never will come back and that's not what I said at all. I meant a list of some sort to have an... wel overview.

Rankings will not come back, sorry. Remember the first time? Remember the posts?
Dammit! Im NOT talking about rankings you stupid! I'm talking about an overview, like such:
person A files: this
that
such
so
person B files: none
person C files: this
such
Like that. Just a list of what everybody has released. As a survey, an overview, a summary. NO rankings, NO numbers, NO nr. 1 etc. NOTHING of the kind. Just a list!
THAT was my question.

You should ask the staff about things like that.
Oh I forgot wc's part of it...
Don't worry everyone else understood what you were talking about.
You want a list of the profiles but without the personal stuff.
If I click on your name, the files you released and the stuff you reviewed (235!) shows up!
It would indeed be very easy for us if all that information was in list or something... I'll start right away...dam'n, I'm not allowed to do such thing, I think you'll just have to wait, and wait,........

I am getting sick of you smart ass comments towards me nitronic and it's wearing thin. If all you are going to do here is try to cause trouble with me, then you can recieve trouble, but I suggest you just keep your comments off the forum or I will keep you off.
Oh, nm, I think I know what you mean. But think about it, would it really be that great if we had a page listing the 1,118 users and the 1,463 reviews they wrote and the 352 files they released? The poor 56k'ers would have to wait a hour for that to load.
Well, not every user, just the ones who released something - that should narrow the number down. The reviews are indeed a LOT! Never knew we had so many!
I'm on adsl, so I don't mind - and I asked for it
- but the 56k'ers are having the same problems with downloading huge files such as PQ and we're not saying that epics shouldn't be made...
It would be nice to have such a list.

Um... I'm not sure exactly how you could do this. I mean, the User page shows you what individual users have done, and the File pages show you who made the File. And there is no way to squeeze all of those things into a nice and tidy page (or pages) without doing some sort of 'rank' to it.
The 'rankings' will return, sorta. I'm thinking of just calling it 'Stats', and throw in some bizarre Stats. For example, a comparison in total board posts between male, female, unknown, and ghost posters. And things like 'Most Reviewed File'. I'm thinking of having the ol' Most Reviews thing back too, if only to encourage you to write more reviews

Would it be possible to have a list of people who did do something, like write a review or release a file, and their names(which could be alphabetical order for you rankaphobes) are links to their profile? Or would that be a lot of work for staffers? *shrug* Just a thought.
So the page would be way too long, huh? If it's only the 'rank' problem, perhaps alphabetical order could do the trick?
You could do something like the Mount Doom or what was it? Something without any logic in it.
Yeah, I've been a bit sloppy on reviewing, but the only challenge I have left is to review all the files ever released.

Hrm... that's quite do-able; I'll look into it once the new forum script is completed. Its nearly done, I just need to work on the 'header' area of the page a bit, and finish up the expanded search options.
Jeez, I mentioned it in the last Recondite... you don't memorize it? WC, ban this so-called Dinker!
There aren't any big changes in the 'new' forum. The File Discussions are done a bit differently. There are little icons for each forum. You can choose to skip the whole 'forum' divisors altogether (so it resembles the old board). There is going to be a Blog Discussion forum. And that's about it.
But the code is about 500% better, so WC can stop saying "oh god, don't make me edit the board code" and such. And if we wanted to add a, say, Morrowind forum, I could do it in about 5 seconds, whereas there really isn't any way to add a new forum now.
