I Just Realized
There hasn't been a thread by me in a while. They've all been flooded out by a thousand threads by Godley, Predator, and DinkDoodler. So...
How about this music television, huh?

Oh it's ok the quality of television deteriorates as the years go by.
You can't view music!
This logic must be why they've stripped away all the music videos and replaced them with "reality" shows.

Funny, I was thinking of making a tv thread a while back. We need some good shows on television again. TV used to actually be entertainment, now it's just a waste of time. Back when I was little, there were shows like Superman, which you could watch to get entertained, because you couldn't fly in real life. Or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which was entertaining, cause you couldn't see mutant turtles in real life. Or something like Hercules, which was entertaining, cause you couldn't see anything like what happened in that show, in real life.
Nowadays, we see people cooking on television, which is not entertaining cause we can do that in real life. Or we see someone traveling the World, which we can also do in real life. Quite a decrease in entertainment.
I mostly miss adventure shows and cartoons. Adventure shows like Hercules, Xena, Tarzan, Robin Hood. And cartoons such as Ninja Turtles, Batman, Street Sharks, Superman. I also miss the actors/actress from these shows such as Kevin Sorbo, Joe Lara, Kevin Smith (RIP) and some cartoon voice actors too. The last good show I remember was the reincarnation of Ninja Turtles, and that turned pretty bad towards the end.
Wow, that ended up being a nostalgia rant.

Ewwwww music television. Theres nothing better than watching awful music videos to rappers who think they're all that to a song which is just rhymes without meaning and swears everywhere so they have to clean up the song and they either bleep out pretty much everything or just change the word.
I can't agree more with you Skull, I miss the old shows and cartoons like Tom and Jerry, Heckle and Jeckle and Courage the Cowardly Dog. All we get on TV these days are drama serials with terrible acting and always about two women wanting the same husband, one of them marrying him, getting divorced, the other marrying him, then dying and then some faceless stranger marries one of them. I mean, what happened to cartoons? There are no cartoons on Pakistani cable TV now.

Thank God for TVLinks though. It has some of the old, but mostly new, shows to watch for free. I'd still prefer the "good old days", coming home from kindergarten, popping in a VHS tape that had some show recorded from TV, and watch it. Man, I didn't even realize a word the characters said back then, I couldn't read, nor knew English, but I still enjoyed watching them, at least knowing somewhat what was happening. Now I know English, and can read, but I don't enjoy watching it at all, even though I know what's happening. And what's happening, is the most utter suckage in human history.
Tom and Jerry and Courage the Cowardly Dog still air where I live. There's some new cartoons now and they're really trying to get into the randomness factor, shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show, and Adventure Time has gotten pretty popular I'd say. I was watching it yesterday and thought it was pretty good for a kids show.
Johnny Bravo
Also, Game of Thrones is a high-grade tv show, but it's kind of heavy... it's barely high fantasy and it sure aint no He-man

What Kevin Smith are you talking about being dead? The Kevin Smith I care about, the man responsible for Jay and Silent Bob, is alive and well.
They need to get rid of the 'Adventure Time' show they have on Cartoon Network and bring back Code Lyoko. I freakin' loved that show as a kid.
Johnny Bravo shows other TV shows who's boss. It was him.
Funny, I think Adventure Time is probably the best thing they've debuted since, I don't know, Samurai Jack maybe?

That's blasphemy.

Dora has been teaching kids spanish for a while now. I wish there was a show for learning other languages too. German and russian would be cool. I really need to freshen up on my german.
