Hey guys and girls (guyettes?),

I found an interesting looking games development thing called UNITY. The download size is kinda big (for me, anyway ) so before I download/while I download I was wondering if any of you lot had heard of it or knew if it's worth downloading (the free version, no way am I paying for the pro one). It can use blender models, so I was kinda guessing someone here might know about it.

Anyway, is it any good at all?

Mmmm, pizza.
I haven't played around with the development aspects, but I've seen some neat games made with it. Check out Atmosphir when you get the chance.

Okay, so this doesn't answer your question at all. Sorry for that v_v

Yeah, it looks pretty sweet. I'll probably download it and muck about with it tomorrow (It's 11PM here and I'm tired, for once ). I expect I'll get stuck as soon as I try and code a jumping mechanic, but then again, I never did understand how that sort of code works :L

EDITZORS: Downloaded it in the end... It's actually really neat, but the coding side of things is too complicated for a beginner like me. Still, I'm gonna persist and hopefully get something internet worthy in the end.

I think you can use JS for scripts. But the 3D side was too much for me. NovaShell is difficult to script (almost has C++ syntax), but graphics are easy to do. Panda 3D might be interesting, but it has no editor which is a nuisance.
