We need an updated Upload Rules
Yeah, I just found something out. It's a loophole in the Guidelines. It says no MP3s not made my you. But if someone were to exploit that, and use WAVs instead, we would be getting the same quality of an MP3 and they could get off scot-free. Don't you think we ought to have that looked into more before someone screws us?
Uploading music wavs would be violating the spirit of the rule and should be rejected and I think anyone with any sense could see that. Every little detail shouldn't need to be spelled out.
I think you can't upload songs copyrighted by others.
I don't think anyone has done that in the past and I don't think anyone will do it. And if they do I'm pretty sure mods with take action.
If some silly moron tried to use a .wav for music in a Dmod, they'd kill the sound effects. Theres a problem with stacking .wav sounds or something, can't remember who told me that though.

Depends on the copywrite regulations the author of the song puts in place. In most cases, you'd have to ask for permission to use it or just not be allowed to use it at all.
