I cannot access some parts of my harddisk anymore.

"Failed to *open/save/delete* file.ext"

I cannot even access a directory in DOS prompt.

"Directory or file not found"

There is NO program running in the background and I've tried restarting windows.

BTW, if I use another pc to access my computer it can access/save/delete the files like normal. But on my pc I cant.

Ehm, I hope you're not trying to access the SAM file...? That one is locked^2

Even if you'd restart Windows XP in safe mode with Ms-Dos, you still have Windows running. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and you'll see the Windows thingy. Then you can't access some files because Windows still locks them.

Or you did something wrong...

I've fixed it...

It was a *fake* security program from the internet. God I hate spam ...
