You remember SkeletonX Version 1.2? Well, I know lots of you didn't like it, so I went on to do some hard work on V1.5, which totally rocked! Much better than the original. Anyway, it was all going fine, but about a month ago now my PC bugged and I had to re-boot my whole system. It's only today that I realised I don't have V1.5 of SkeletonX anymore, therefore I cannot work on it or release it to the Dink Network which you will definately like.

I wrote 3 more tutorial files, added new sounds a skeleton city new graphics... loads. Now, it is all gone. I'm thinking I shouldn't go and re-do the whole skeleton. What do you lot think?

I'd like to see a good skeleton full of various utilies, but not a whole bunch of different skeletons. Mabey 1 or 2. It might be best to join with any others who are makeing a tutoring skeleton, or city skeleton and make one good one! Or.... if the other efforts are too slow, make yours the first realy good one. But I think it should have it all. Learning scripts, graphic additons, midis. I was once working on a city skeleton that would let you copy screens to make a city fast, yet still have different rooms on the inside ( vision changes.) Just a thought.

Skeletons shouldn't have tut's or graphics. Look at it this way. If you wana build a ciston car, you wana start out with a simple frame, and add in what you want, not start with a half built POS which fits no part of your dream car. Basically, mroe users will be ripping crap out rather than using it.

I agree.. I mean, to say it in other words, it's not a skeleton anymore when all the flesh is on the body. Or so... *hehe* A skeleton is supposed to be very simple, just to get you started.

True, but that is what Mike has done. I need to make mine different. Tutorials are things that teach you how to do stuff. So, while you're using the skeleton every now and again you'd go and have a look at the tutorial to see how you do something.

Perhaps, you shouldn't call it a skeleton then?

Maybe a learning dmod, or beginners tutorial...

Beginners deffintely need stuff like that, but what the vetrans are saying is that they dont think it falls under the category of skeleton.
