Dude, Striker, Castlevania came waay before Dink. It's quite clear that rtsoft got the pillbug sfx from Castlevania. I have even heard playback of it from Simon's quest!

-_- Dink Smallwood was released before CotM and the NES (the system that Simon's Quest was released on) was incapable of playing recorded audio-files. Therefore, it would be impossible for you to have heard the pillbug sound in Simon's Quest.

Y'a know...On Yoshi's Island DS you can also hear some DInk Smallwood SFX. But anyway the best game is SOTN and The Order of Ecclesia

Castlevania? My favourite is Symphony of the Night, I've managed to complete 206% of the map and kill all the bosses with Richter (Galamoth is the hardest one XD).
I don't know that Pillbug sound, but I've heard a brazilian movie with a bull that made that Bonca sound
