how do you start a dmod

...just what is sayes..I go in to to make a dmod thing and it is the main game...how do I make it so I can start to make my game ???

Ok I gess I did not make what I ment clear...ok I go to the Dinkedit thing it has the main games d-mod there. I want a blank one so I can start to make one

Then you probably should get good old Skeleton B. A blank d-mod basically.

Basically you install that like a normal d-mod and then you want to edit the map, you use Dink Front End (or front end of your choice), select Skeleton B and click Edit.
