An interesting myth about SmileStein

Ok, Dinkers. You all know mr.SmileStein from original Dink? I just came up with an interesting myth about him.

When Dink's mom dies in the fire, SmileStein seems to be the most caring person for Dink and he talks about how great person Dink's mom was. When you enter his house after the fire, he even says something like "Oh, my dear. I'm so sorry" and then he notices you, panics and is like "Oh, Dink! Didn't see you there!".

Could this mean that Dink's mom was SmileStein's wife? That would make him Dink's dad or step-dad.

He even tries to stop Dink from going to see Libby. Maybe because he knows they love eachother and doesn't want them to see each other because they are brother and sister.

Another thing is, that he never tells you his first name. Who knows if it's something like Link or something, that is near to name Dink. But he doesn't want to tell you because Dink would quess SmileStein is his father.

Dink's mom says that his dad wan't good with the sword and that his dad was a wonderful farmer. Well, SimleStein can't get rid of the bugs because he doesn't know how to fight and he is a farmer.

And SmileStein even lives in the same village as Dink. In fact, he is just one screen away.

Discuss about this. Could it be true? Could SmileStein be Dink's father, which would make Dink and Libby brother and a sister?

Let us save our effort and just lie down and die.
Yes, and notice that Dink's mum mentions Ethel but never SmileStein. But aunty Martha has a crush on SmileStein but can't do him coz her sister's in the way. So she gets the goblins in Kernsin to sabotage the furniture that she buys her for X-mas. when martha's husband learns of what is happening, he gets sh!tty and emo-y, and Martha deceives Dink into killing him so she can run off with SmileStein. Notice also that after Mrs Smallwood's death, SmileStein, in his depression, drops his moral guard allowing Dink to "visit" Libby in her room... hmmm, ok.

Agreed... You can visit Libby when you save his farm!

Love! True love!
I think he always says "Oh, my dear, I'm sorry." Even before his mom dies. Not sure.

Even if he says "Oh, my dear" always, he might mean that he's sorry because they broke up.

Either way, there's the last name difference.
Personally, I reckon if Smilestein was Dink's father, then it was an affair and Dink's Non-Biological-Father died somehow.

Now imagine if Ethel was Libby's mother...

That would make Mr. SmileStein desperate.

LOOK UPON MY DEFORMED FACE!
This is really quite interesting. It's not as ground-breaking as the "The wizard killed dink's mother in order to help Dink fulfil a prophecy or whatever" theory, but it's pretty good.

Maybe SmileStein or Dink's mom (who's name was never told, by the way) changed their last name after they broke up. That's how many people do in real life nowadays. He or she just didn't want to keep their last name.
