MouseDink Dev's Demonstration
This is a demonstration dmod of how to do mouse-based gameplay in Dink. It uses some clever and complicated scripting techniques, and if you want to make a mouse-controlled dmod yourself, you really want to take a look at this file and try to understand how it works.
With that said, this isn't the greatest gameplay system as it is. The combat, for instance, is quite awkward and if you do create your own mouse-controlled dmod, you'll probably want to make heavy alterations. That takes advanced scripting knowledge, and Someone hasn't made the scripts in this demonstration particularly easy to understand. Almost the contrary.
I personally don't really jive with the idea of something being just a scripting demonstration, without gameplay considerations. A game has gameplay, does it not? I think this file would be much improved if it was more smooth and polished so that people could just take it and start focusing on story and encounter design, without having to tinker with the under the hood stuff.
Nonetheless this is a really cool file, and worth a gander even as a just curiosity, in the case you have no actual desire to make a mouse-controlled dmod.
