My impression of this pack is that the author took good music and tried to turn it into computer game music, which is mighty hard to do. I mean, if you played the fight music from FFVII on the radio, I'd wonder which studio moron decided to play it. On the other hand, as fight music in a computer game, it took about a month to get boring. Similarly, many songs which are quite good in "real life" might seem amorphous or even dull in a game. That's sort of the case here. Most of these would be good (some quite good) if played live with vocals, but I couldn't imagine a lot of them as game music. Tracks 3, 4, and 7 are quite excellent both ways; 3 and 4 could be town music, and 7 would be excellent for fighting towards the end of a dmod. The unfinished tracks were pretty cool too: no reason you couldn't loop 'em.

Overall, worth the download, even if you don't plan on using them.
