A Monstery Dimension

Not much for stuff to write here since it's about killing monsters.

This D-Mod contains monsters to kill and two secrets. There are new title screen buttons, new status bar (even if not great) and recolored enemeies. There isn't really much to do here, except killing monster, finding the two secrets and the ending. It's not bad, but unless you want to use some of the recoloured monsters, I wouldn't recommend it.

Responsible for making things not look like ass
If you want a dmod where all you have to do is kill monsters and burn trees. This is it. You don't have to deal with non-a-that story nonsense those other dmods have. Also, you can get infinite herb boots. That's pretty cool. Nah, this dmod is boring. There are modified pillbugs and boncas that look pretty cool. I really like the color of the modified boncas. But that's about it.

The game keeps track of how many enemies you kill. I think by the time I stopped I had 200+. Which isn't as much as it seems because there's like 10-20 enemies a screen and there are 16 screens with enemies on them. Enemies tend to drop gold which has no use in this game. And while you can get a lightsaber the inventory graphic for it will just be a long sword. Yet the inventory graphic for herb boots which you can get as many times as you want is a light sword. Strange stuff.

The ending of the game -if you can classify it as such- is found through a hardness hole which isn't very easily found. Basically it's just a guy that congratulates you and walks over some rocks and off the screen. You can leave the screen and come back and go through the dialogue again if you want.

So this is a pretty boring game. That's A Monstery Dimension for you.

No story. Your just on an island with tons of enemies to hack and slash your way through.

Along with the defaults there are some pretty cool pill bug recoulers here. Even the Dink Saber by redink1 is used here.

The music is very good and fits the violent fighting.

Gameplay

The ending is a secret which really sucks, and even the ending is disappointing , because you find out that it will never be finished. How can you figure it out? Well it explains its a demo and since the full release never came out...yeah. There are lots of secret items hidden behing some trees too. Killing enemies could provide you with a lot of gameplay time, but like Dink's Nightmare, it gets tedious fast.

7.5/10

Overall this is a fun little project. I went ahead and added tons on new maps and enemies myself to add to the gameplay, but since I suck at programming, the monsters turned out to be floating non animated blocks that never died.

Love! True love!
Not to bad. There are two secrets that you can find (I think thats it) and they fit in
pretty good. There is a kill counter that records the number of monsters you killed, that
feature is good to have.

Good:
The kill counter works well, and the secrets weren't to bad.

Bad:
There is a picture of herb boots on the secret screen with the sword-giving rock, and whenever
I run into them I switch back to fists but the light-saber sound still goes off. There is no rea; ending that I could find, but it is a demo.

Overall:
Not to bad. A good Dmod to just sit back and kill stuff.
