It's a fun little romp, and a good sequel. Once again, you play as Ronan the hero duck, but this time you have a trusty steed, Billy the bonca!
Along with your fireball attack, you also have a melee attack and there are some pillbugs you can fight too!
The DMOD is longer than the previous title in the series, but it is still rather short. It ends rather abruptly just as you think you are progressing to another area...
There aren't any save machines and there is one place you can die rather cheaply (although there are some warning signs, hehe). I think the DMOD is short enough for this not to be a major issue though.
Having replayed this just before playing Revenge of the Ducks 3, I must say it is more charming than I remembered it being. I really liked the bonca-riding-duck sprites, they even have melee attack animations!
Billy and Ronan's friendship is quite endearing, as are their various interactions when fighting or interacting with things throughout the world, like signs and such.
I would say it's definitely a DMOD worth checking out.
