New D-Mod: Quest for the Gems
Posted by Tal on Tuesday May 3rd, at 08:16 PM
Far away, there exists a creature named the Metatarasal. This thing has been blessed with knowledge comparable to a human's (read: it's as dumb as the rest of us), and thus has constructed a D-Mod entitled Quest for the Gems. Wow. With a title like that, I get a sense of deja vu. I mean, seriously, a frog just leapt out of my pants and onto my sandwich, and I swear that's happened before. Maybe.

New Source Project: unDink 2.67
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 7th, at 11:55 AM
toa has released a new source project by the name of unDink 2.67. It fixes thousands of bugs and adds some small new features, but I couldn't find a huge file explaining everything that was changed or added, so I'm afraid that I cannot summarize these changes for your peering eyes.

New D-Mod: Fifteen Tasks of Dink
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 7th, at 11:58 AM
dinkme has released his first D-Mod called the Fifteen Tasks of Dink. With only a wizard's voice to guide him, Dink must complete the fifteen tasks to save Dalaran. I don't know about you, but if I started hearing voices in my head that told me to do fifteen things to same the president of Yugoslavia, I'm not sure I would do what they said. Though, if they said 'eat cookies', I could handle that.

New Midis: riot music 25
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 7th, at 12:02 PM
el hombre joshriot has layed down some beats to the tune of riot music 25. Oddly enough, there aren't 25 midis included in the pack, just 14. Crank up your speakers and let your eardrum follicles convulse. Today.

New D-Mod: Terrania
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 7th, at 12:06 PM
Carrie has cranked out another D-Mod, Terrania. This time, Dink decides that jumping down a well would be an excellent expenditure of his free time, and finds himself in an underground city ready for another adventure.

Hmm. These adventurer types, like Dink, seem to find an adventure no matter what they do. I mean, Dink gets thirsty for some milk, and it becomes The Quest for Milk, and he ends up killing the mutant cows bent on world lactosation. Just seems odd, that's all.

Updated D-Mod: Terrania v1.2
Posted by redink1 on Tuesday May 10th, at 01:04 PM
Carrie has updated her latest D-Mod Terrania to v1.2. She changed the music, fixed some hardness and script errors, and now Dink is happier to be home. Download now, or Carrie'll throw you down a well.

Updated D-Mod: Fifteen Tasks of Dink v1.2
Posted by redink1 on Thursday May 19th, at 10:39 AM
Local Windows ME user dinkme has been convicted of updating the Fifteen Tasks of Dink to v1.2. Of the many changes, it should now take about an hour to complete instead of 15 minutes. While not confirmed, it is suspected this increase in time is caused when Dink says 'Octopus' over and over for forty-five minutes.

Updated Dev Graphics: House Graphics v2
Posted by redink1 on Thursday May 19th, at 10:43 AM
That dinkme is at it again, stirring up trouble in ol' Tdnville. This time he released some rabid House graphics upon the unsuspecting populace. Reports are scarce once again, but it seems the real estate industry is now dead, and these houses might look better than the old ones thanks to sunlight and lighting effects.

Updated D-Mod: Zach the Marine
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 28th, at 10:22 AM
El Chaotic has updated Zach the Marine. I'm not sure what changes he's made, but I'm sure they increase the Zachiness and Mariness to the Maxness.

New D-Mod Demo: Outlander
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 28th, at 10:27 AM
The long-time Lord of Amoebas has released his first D-Mod, a demo to Outlander. You receive a mysterious letter. Now, I think I see where Amoebalord is going with this thing... the gameplay dynamics of letter receiving have been largely untapped, and could bring about an entirely new genre of gameplay.

Anyway, one important note: he says that it requires the Windowed/32-bit mode dink.exe in order to run correctly. I think it might run under the normal Dink.exe, but it will cease to look correctly.

New D-Mod: Helpin' the Ol' Duck Farmer
Posted by redink1 on Saturday May 28th, at 10:44 AM
DaVince, whom I am certain did not make a name for himself around the time of the Renaissance, has released a D-Mod entitled Helpin' the Ol' Duck Farmer. In it, an unemployed Dink has to do the dirty work of a duck farmer.
