New Dev Graphics: Elemental Swords
Posted by redink1 on Wednesday February 4th, at 09:13 PM
Bruce Harrison has released the greatest graphics pack I've ever seen. His Elemental Swords pack contains three sword attack animations (for fire, lightning, and ice) with simple jaw-dropping results.

Download this majestic release now, or check out the animated preview.

Recondite Twenty-Five: Nova
Posted by redink1 on Saturday February 7th, at 08:22 PM
And so it was written, many a year ago, that there shall be one to lure them all unto utter desolation and immolation.

I think it'd be rather cool if this Recondite had some desolate immolating going on, but I fear that isn't the case. Just more of the standard drivel, and now in an almost-weekly occurance. Oh dear, oh my.

Contest: Weird D-Mods Available!
Posted by redink1 on Sunday February 8th, at 07:14 AM
The Weird D-Mod contest deadline ended about 5 hours ago, and thankfully we got just barely enough entries to make it a contest. So what might those entries be? Well, in order of their arrival into my Inbox...

Triangle Mover: Paul Pliska's entry, and a dang inventive one at that. Basically, you use the mouse to move triangles around so different colored balls will end up at the different colored end points. Speaking of balls...

Progeny: Simon Klaebe's entry, which can be best described as a Space Invaders clone with, well, an interesting choice in theme. Maybe a XXX Invaders clone would be a better way to describe it. You control Dink as he uses his 'spell' shooting... uh... spinning things falling from the sky. And speaking of things...

Dream Weaver: Silent Knight: Illusivefing's entry, where Dink has some very odd dream sequences and flashbacks while wandering about. He also reads some dang weird books.

Well, that's it, the Dink Network staff will play through them and vote on them, and decide what the prizes will be. For now, play through them and cheer for your favorite.

Newsflash: Research shows that no Dink couples last
Posted by Phoenix on Sunday February 8th, at 10:04 AM
(Sorry if the headline offends anyone)

We only have a small statistical background here, but so far it's 100% negative. Two out of two couples that began due to Dink, thanks to The Dink Network, have now ended. (No, they didn't END due to The Dink Network, duh) That's right everybody, the first ever public Dink Smallwood couple, Phoenix and Sharp, is through. We're still good friends though, as we separated in agreement. We also both agree that we had a nice time together, but that it was time for us to go separate ways. We know we meant much to you all, but you can still trust your daily life to continue as it was. The sun will still rise!

New D-Mod: Dinkaventure
Posted by redink1 on Monday February 16th, at 05:50 AM
MTG has released his first D-Mod, Dinkaventure. From what I've played of it, it appears Dink is somewhat lost, and confused as he walks around killing things.

New Misc Add-On: Banana Weapon
Posted by redink1 on Monday February 16th, at 05:53 AM
Simon Klaebe has released a Banana Weapon to fulfill your hunger. It even includes a key- script so you can add and remove it from your inventory by pressing the P key.

Updated D-Mod: Dream Weaver: Silent Knight v0.99
Posted by redink1 on Monday February 16th, at 05:02 PM
Illusivefing has updated Dream Weaver to v0.99, so now you can actually beat the game. I think it fixes a few other bugs too.

New D-Mod: Hide-and-seek
Posted by Tal on Saturday February 21st, at 06:42 PM
That crazy bumper-of-old-forum-threads TA has released a small D-Mod entitled Hide-and-seek, in which Dink apparently has to find Milder. I haven't bothered with playing the D-Mod, but I suppose Milder has something up his sleeve. It's probably scratching violently at his hairy, malodorous armpits. He-ey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey... I said hey, what's goin' on?
