Site News: Mirror Changes
Posted by redink1 on Tuesday December 2nd, at 02:31 PM
I've decided to take down the Fileburst mirror that was being paid for out of the Dink Network Community funds for a couple reasons. First and foremost, I want to save the money for various prizes for contests, one of which should be announced within the week.

Also, thanks to a friend, there is a new mirror available for most files on TDN. Just click the little 'imgoingbed.com' link, and it should be a direct link to the file, with no lines or waits or anything. It won't be nearly as fast as Fileburst was, but should be good enough.

If anyone finds any broken links, please post a comment.

The voting for the November 2003 Download of the Month has now started. There were, surprisingly, quite a few files released last month, though there weren't any traditional D-Mods. Voting ends December 15th, so vote now you silly goose.

Update: v1.1 has been released, fixing a few bugs. No patch is available, simply download the file again.

New Contest: Weird D-Mod
Posted by redink1 on Sunday December 14th, at 01:02 PM
Are you interested in making D-Mods, but simply can't find the motivation to do it? Or are you quite good at making them, and want to find a new challenge? Tada, this Contest might help.

Basically, the goal of the contest is to make a 'Weird' D-Mod. It also allows D-Mods to compete against D-Mods in a Contest, instead of battling everything in DOTM contests.

New Misc File: NitroDink
Posted by Tal on Wednesday December 31st, at 12:43 PM
Gustav the great gives us a decent reason to update the main page today by submitting the stand-alone Dink-related game NitroDink. In it, Dink runs down a road while avoiding spikes and collecting gold. The concept reminds me of my trips to town, except I ride a bike, I avoid cars, and I collect frustration as my feeble legs attempt pedalling uphill.
