| Michael Adams has released a new add-on for the original game called Dink & Libby. With the installation of this Add-On, Libby can now 'get laid'. Note: this is not a D-Mod, but rather an alteration to the original game. |
| New Dev Utility: Simple Dink Spell |

| Paul Pliska has released Simple Dink Spell. So what does it do? It copies all the printable text from your d-mod to a new text file. You then spell-check it in Word or another word processor and use Simple Dink Spell to update the d-mod with the new, corrected text. Sounds extremely useful. |

| The voting for the October 2003 Download of the Month will begin at midnight PST (-8 GMT), or in just under three hours. A whopping 9 files were released last month, including 5 D-Mods, 3 Dev files, and a miscellaneous file. So make sure to vote! |

The description be sayin' "Sail around the world, trading goods to earn money. A great game, if you got the time. It's open-source. The people have spoken once again! And I'm not talking about those inside my head! **drum ruffle** .. in other news .. This month's DOTM winners are Sabretrout and Arik for having created the Cloud Castle 2: Scarab demo! Maybe this will encourage them to finish it.  Now why did Dukie's Shooting Gallery only get one vote? Even more other news, Beuc crafted a snazzy new design for The Dink Smallwood Solutions! So please visit if you haven't already! There's even a new Bane of the Magi walkthrough by the Ducklord! And soon, a "Suggest a different color than teal/light blue for the title bars Contest"! |

SimonK has gone on a new release streak and brings us 3 files : Dink Goes Boating Alternative Savebot Graphics Dink Goes Boating Graphics Pack I guess I should elaborate. Dink Goes Boating is a TMOD (Tutorial Mod) with a lot of attention to detail. It's goal : To teach the flock (read: Community Members) how to script. Aside from being a valuable source of information, it's also a plain romp which can be enjoyed by anyone. The second file is a graphics pack which includes one new sequence. It is described by Simon as an alternative for the original savebot but he also adds it can easily be designated another use due to its odd design. I think you're all able to understand what the last of the files includes. In case you don't, read the File Description! |

Now here's something original! Jakob de Laval (please tell me if you have an account) from Sweden has released Dink Killer, an old school 2D shooter kind of game. It features many (if not all) of the Dink characters and is a rather enjoyable game. It also keeps high scores. I'm glad somethig original surfaces from time to time. So should you. Download it right away! |

Hey, in my time zone, I've still got a few minutes to spare until the holiday is over. And since the news is rather slow, I can post about whatever, eh? Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans out there. It's time to celebrate our theft of this soil from the Native Americans! Or celebrate the fact that we can go pee-pee without anyone watching us. Or something along those lines, jeez. Here's to hoping that you guys had a pretty nice day overall; while I can't say mine was perfect, it was good.
