Wow, I solved it! Used "Forgot Password" and e-mail came instantly. Now I could set a password, which I couldn't originally do because an approval e-mail never came.
Maybe redink1 has fixed something (God bless him), or maybe Forgot Password works even when account was not initially approved by e-mail.
