The Dink Network

Recondite is basically a rant on everything and anything (past Dink Network polls, past week in review, misc. links, and of course ranting about redink1). If you'd like to read it, view the comments page.

Yay, one week and The Dink Network G6 is still running. No huge bugs have been found, though a few were squashed. Some improvements have also been made to the underlying CGI, but I'll be danged if I remember any.

In case you haven't noticed, I updated the layout of the message board and the Interactive Story. Yay. I really don't like the board layout how it is right now, however (the centering of the links and things like that). So I'll have to mess with it and design a more appealing version.

Future developements: I really wanted to get the Timeline, Upcoming D-Mods, and Awards databases up and running... but I didn't. Dangit. I also want to replace the Prowler Chat with jIRC, but I don't really have any ideas on how IRC works (at all).

Because I haven't done a Recondite in a month or so (wow!), I've decided to compile all the previous poll results tonight. The numbered items are the top 5 comments submitted.

Me, I voted for "Dan is lazy" Really... its been in pretty much the same state for the past 6 months... its weird. There were also some rather disturbing comments... quite a few comments said I smoked marijuana (and one comment said 'tho not as much as Jveenhof' and some others had to do with alien abduction and... certain experiments. Just plain crazy... never done drugs, and I certainly hope I haven't been abducted by aliens

Yes, 3ddownloads sucks. But, now we're getting somewhere... we have Beuc's mirror (hosting quite a few D-Mods), and maybe a new primary server very soon...

Personal news: Yay. I scored a 97.5% on my Computer Science final, and ended up with a 97% overall grade in the class. The funny thing is, I really didn't know much programming going in... some (very minor) Perl, DinkC, and a tad of JavaScript. Now I created the G6 design thanks to that class, it rocks. Not too sure how I'll do in my other classes tho.
