Continuing from the part two then...

...She let a yell of horror up her throat. A quick, short scream and her vision began to blur as what she was seeing spun out of focus, and she collapsed uncontrollably onto one knee as sick exploded from her mouth and onto the ground. Choking, she fought the urge to vomit again and tried to calm herself as she realized she was holding her breath and let out a choked gasp, coughing for a few seconds.
She looked up again, trying to understand the situation and hoping she was just dreaming. As she continued to hold herself in a kneeling position she pinched the back of her hand; a small shot of pain. She wasn't dreaming.
She looked back down the street the way she had come, then towards her home. But behind and ahead of her lay only ruined houses as before, surrounding her with long shadows creeping across the concrete. Brown hedges hung along the property walls, gardens appeared to have withered out and died long ago. There was no color to the area apart from her own clothing.
She stood up on wobbly legs and her vision came back clearly again. She stepped backwards and looked down, realising she'd managed to spew into the open manhole. But looking back, she saw another manhole; the one she'd seen before. So, she realised, she'd vomited into another manhole.
She shook her head, realising that she needed to keep her thoughts on the situation.
