: The cat comes and wants to let you pet them, because they want acknowledgement, and a feeling of beloning in the group. Unlike dogs, who're only, ONLY after the food you can provide them.

: That's so untrue. Cats are solitair beings whereas dog (wolves) are used to living in groups.

Cats, just like the dogs, suck up to you to get food. They know you have food, so they stay with you, and let you pet them, and stuff. They are maybe solitaire beings, but they do know that just like the dogs; if they suck up, they get food. That's ALL there is too it. For every animal out there. Food, food, food. Yeah, that and reproduction. That's all there is to animals. To main needs, and that's all.
