I redid your review, so it's more accurate and cool, just like me. Here it is:
Smith And Jones
Russel T. Davies
This episode is a fun season opener to the third series Of Dr Who-doo-dee-doo. It doesn't matter that there's been almost 750 episodes - It's series 3. Don't argue. Everyone's upset about the disappearance of some chick who was married to Chris Evans, but Martha (Freema Agyeman) adequately performs the sidekick role in her absence. No worries there then. Russel T Davies wrote this episode, just like he writes every episode. By imagining if alien stuff happened and if we all got to watch it through our magic tellybox's. It's full of action that'll keep the whole family (particularly the young ones) entertained and a few pieces of humour that will keep you quite amused for the duration.
So, what's good about this episode?
First, the Doctor is funnier than ever. Well, almost. He can't quite live up to the memory of PATRICK TROUGHTON. But then again, PATRICK TROUGHTON was probably the greatest servant to the British Isles that has ever existed, so any comparisons to him are like comparing a beetle to GOD. David Tennant (The 10th Doctor) cracks a few too many jokes in this episode, which may start to grate on some viewers. Humour is all well and good, but seriously? Stop making wise cracks and get on with helping people. Second, Martha is superb. The way she handles herself in this episode is amazing (She does luvly acting yeah). And the story, now, the story is excellent. A hospital gets sent to the moon, by the Judoon, in search of a shape shifting alien! Wonderfully inventive! Well done Russell!
But there are bad points about everything, aren't there?
First, let me say, the ending was a bit of a disappointment. It was just... bad. You'll have to watch and see. I mean, the Judoon just sent them back. There was no screaming, no running, just another earthquake. Ooh, was that a spolier? Never mind.
Apart from that one bad point, everything in this episode was average to good. It was a decent season opener, and could only have been improved by better writing, better direction, or the introduction of PATRICK TROUGHTON. I don't give ratings.
