I redid my review. Here it is:
Smith And Jones
Russel T. Davies
This episode is a wonderful season opener to the third series. Everyone's upset about the disappearance of Rose (Billie Piper), but Martha (Freema Agyeman) makes up for the loss of the Doctor's old companion perfectly. Russel T Davies wrote this episode, just like he writes every episode. Perfectly. It's full of action that'll keep you on the edge of your seat and witty humour that will keep you laughing for hours!
So, what's good about this episode?
First, the Doctor is funnier than ever. He cracks so many jokes in this episode, and him pretending he didn't know a thing about Finnegan, had me rolling on the floor. Second, Martha is superb. The way she handles herself in this episode is amazing. And the story, now, the story is excellent. A hospital gets sent to the moon, by the Judoon, in search of a shape shifting alien!
But there are bad points about everything, aren't there?
First, let me say, the ending was a bit of a disappointment. Yes, it was exciting, but they could've thought of something better. I mean, the Judoon just sent them back. There was no screaming, no running, just another earthquake.
Apart from that one bad point, everything in this episode was amazing. It was a fantastic season opener, and I loved it. I give it a rating of 8.5/10!
