If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I don't think minimum specs actually matter since so many people use it to play DMODs. And if you put in enough effort you can make it that it requires a lot more than the original game. I remember that firing multiple hellfires at scarabs in Cloud Castle 2 definitely slowed down my computer significantly.
