Eh, I've had this idea for quite a while. I wanted to do something in a darker setting, namely a walled city. The reasons for this were simply a) to make the mod different stylistically, while retaining familiarity, and b) to try and complete something that is fairly nonlinear but also immersive. Hence Outcast. The game is loosely tied in with Outlander. I originally started it as a second destination in an earlier effort, 'the Alton Inn'. However, the game was abandoned due to technical problems and forgotten for a while. Then I decided to try reworking the idea several years ago. After I started working on Outlander again, I decided to take a look at it.

Well that's the history. As far as the background of the game goes, it's not too deep. Dink gets exiled from the mainland (I forgot why.) and treks to a nearby colony, nicknamed the Necropolis. The denizens vary, with some living inhabitants, convicts, refugees, immigrants, and even an undead populace. Over time, Dink learns of an invasion from the mainland.

The game certainly has a specific style to it. It's projected to be quest-length, although at this point it could be longer or shorter. There's quite a bit of dark humor. Hopefully should be released sometime. eh. eventually.

I've only got one screenshot so far, taken during a cutscene. Hopefully it'll give you an idea of the feel of the game:
