RPG is the big genre I love, of which the Final Fantasy and the Mana series have entertained me the most. Actually, I liked almost any older Square/Enix/Square-Enix.
Then there are platformers. I'm pretty much a fan of Commander Keen ("wutz comander keen?" "Google it."), and have tried making a Keen fangame for a while now. Keen has some nice gameplay.
EDIT: basically, I find any game enjoyable, even crappy ones. Except FPS shooters and the like (older games like Duke Nukem 3D are very much an exception though).
