Personally I don't think using different accounts a big offence - if a person uses them just for the kick of it. Not for getting some profit out of it, of course (e.g. stats-up of any kind).
It may be interesting to play different parts in different communities - you always play a part when you are in a community, and you act different at home, at work, at school, in a company of your friends, etc. I can understand it, and in different forums I use quite different personalities - because I like it.
But the one thing should be clear:
when you enter a community, you accept its rules. If there are some constrictions (e.g. no multiple accounts) - you take it or leave it. You are free to discuss the rules, but you must accept them as long as they exist. Dixi.

Well put! Couldn't say it better myself. Although, that's not 200% true for me. You see, on this forum, I use my real personality. This is me. This is how I am in real life. I'm like this at home, school. (I'm only 12, I don't work). But on this other forum I go on, all of us are a fun lovin' bunch o' guys who act silly practiacally all the time. But I like all of you guys better than them. You're all cool.

And I agree, if you go on a forum, you follow those rules. You can discuss it with staff, but unless they change the rule, you follow it. End of story. Full stop!
