I apologize. I was overly emphatic in my language (which can happen when I get, well, emphatic). However, I did find nothing particularly praise-worthy in Paolini's work. His book was generic fantasy (not horrible) told through bland and uninteresting prose. I read many books between the ages of 10 and 14 that were at least equal to (if not better) that the quality of his work, yet, inexplicably, were far, far less famous.
