Reply to WDE (Plus) crash with 32bit graphics.
If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I just tried some true-colour things, just for the heck of it, see if it works.
WDE crashes (at least on my PC) when it creates the thumbnail page on which a 32bit sequence is displayed. My error message was "Out of Memory". I'm having 1GB RAM here, so I don't think that should be a problem.
A workaround: Save all 32bit graphics in \graphics\32bit, and convert them to 8bit (Dink Palette), which you save in \graphics\8bit. Now you can copy \graphics\8bit to \graphics if you need to edit, and you can copy \graphics\32bit into \graphics if you want to play. I don't think you really need 32bit when just editing the map.
This might be different on other PC's, but I thought I'd let you know. This problem is both in WDE Plus and vanilla WDE. I've only checked 32bit. Not sure what happens with 16 or 24 bit.
