I have never experienced that bug. Try this:
Tools > Preferences > Advanced > History
Check if cached page is updated on the server (somewhere on the bottom).
Make sure both are "Always".
Except when one decides to be a donkeyhole and change the poll right after one was posted.
A poll that no one ever say, but still got one vote, for Tal even!
