Are mind and body seperable? The question really is whether or not your mind is the same as your brain or if it is something more. Because if your mind is the same as your brain a body is simply a non-functioning human, if it isn't something is missing what would make the body a human. Personally I have to agree with you, but I could understand if people disagree...

Mind is certainly a very debatable topic, but I'd say the mind needs the body to exist (the chemicals and electrical impulses in the brain and the brain as a storage area) and that when the body dies, so does the mind. That's why I say people do not lie still when they die and that it's only the body that does. However, this issue is a hot one that can be easily debated and that no one truely knows the answer to. I'm even including myself in that as shocking as that may be.
