: The second poll

: What do you prefer, vast landscapes (that is, large places to explore) or small settings (that is, a nice landscape to guide you from a story related place to the next and some places to explore) ?

I like both. If you have a linear story, however, it might be better to use small places that guide you. On the other hand, if you have an unlinear story and you can backtrack a lot, vast landscapes are best suited in my opinion.

Mind you, it is very difficult to fill vast landscapes with interesting decoration and events... I've been having this problem ever since I started Legend's Tale, which has a LOT of open places.
