The graphics for 2, 4, 6 and 8 are overwritten by the sword sequences. In the bow-scripts (item-b1, item-b2, item-b3) these sequences get overruled again by the bow graphics. If the base is 100, the sequences will indeed be 102, 104, 106 and 108 if the bow is armed.
