There is indeed music exclusively on the Dink CD that is in a spiffy format other than Midi (.wav maybe, I'm unsure). If you happen to have it, you can put it in your CD-ROM drive while you play Dink and you can listen to this snazzy music. If not, midis are played.
Someone who actually owns one of the versions of the Dink CD could probably explain it a bit better than I can... I know there were licensing problems over some of that music, but I can't recall the specifics.
