Funny story bout finding weird things...
I have so far found: A bowling ball, a almost full weight set, several ceramic ducks, and another neighbors front porch...all in my backyard.

I will have internet access at my house soon...well not my house per-say, more like the FEMA trailer I have applied for if it ever gets here. I may finally reach my dream of becoming trailer trash ^_^. Anyway for now I only have access the restaurant I work for. My other part time job (I was a teacher at a drama class for kids) was washed away in the havoc.

Things are slowly but surely starting to return to some degree of normalsy around here. Most fast-food joints are opening now and I have applied for all the free stuff I could get (FEMA, MEMA, EcoAssistance, Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc...) It is amazing what they are giving away around here. We are going to throw a party in my gutted out house...a sort of fudge Katrina party.

Rita messed things up around here too. Not as bad as Katrina but it hendered development greatly, places shut down again, power got knocked out again, the bananas spoke of an up-rising, etc...

And to who ever said "need that power back on for their hair driers" *cough*Chrispy*cough* I did not realize how important power is until it was taken away for a two weeks. Funny thing is, I knew the power was out, but out of habit I turned light switched on and off when I entered/exited rooms. Power still goes out around here daily, sometimes for 30 minutes, sometimes for hours on end, but there isnt much we can do about that.

It is still pretty crazy around here though, but little by little people are returning and beginning the long process of rebuilding their lives. My largest concern though now is the casinos in Biloxi, they were the largest source of income for this area and brought people from everwhere. If they dont decide to let the casinos rebuild...this whole area will probably die.

Anyway sorry for the long post, no one will probably read it but oh well
