The Dink Network

I've gotten fairly far through the game, but it seems to be crashing at more places. One place is really bad: At the fireplace in the Recreation level, whenever I use the Water Magic on the fireplace, it dumps the game. Every time. I think there must be something valuable in there, perhaps vital to winning the game, but I can't get there!
Other place that it has crashed include in the Mines, when I accidentally hit the Magic button instead of the Talk function.
Also, can ANYBODY access that walkthrough on www.dinkworld.com? It seems that in the other threads everyne is having the same access problem I'm experiencing...
