Ah, never tell anyone you'll probably never return. It makes you look silly if you do return after all.

Let's see what's happened since November '04:

* No major D-Mods have been released, since Initiation and Cloud Castle 2 (the last D-Mods that really got the community stirring) were released shortly before your "departure."

* The Dink Network has moved from the terrible RPGPlanet/Gamespy host to 1&1, which is linked on the left sidebar. So far, they have not given us any tremendous problems, like the sudden downtime of woe and despair from Gamespy or the miserable downloads system of Telefragged (anyone remember that?). Interestingly enough, though, Kyote (RPGPlanet's primary newsposter) still borrows news from this site and posts it from time to time, occasionally misinterpreting what we say. He may not have posted anything Dink-related in a few months, but currently the archive is down, so I am not able to verify that.

* Though this may be considered more of a personal thing than something strongly relevant to the Dink Network, redink1 was able to visit me for a week in December, marking another real-life encounter stemming from Dink.

* In January, SimonK scored an interview with Justin Martin, one of the members of the team behind Dink.

* ehasl chose to rerelease the ABCD D-Mod later in March, unaltered from its original form. Predictably, the response has been unfavorable.

* As you likely noticed due to it being covered in the most recent newspost, Striker and Merlin have been added to the staff, and one more person is being considered.

* Seth has announced a desire to publish a new update for Dink, version 1.08, but he has appointed the community with the construction of said update. (You can make suggestions for modifications/additions here.) redink1 and I are working on it, and if I'm not mistaken, Merlin is contributing as well (maybe I'm wrong?).

* Generation 9/Miasma 3 are still in production (but if I'm not mistaken, are currently on the backburner due to redink1's significant contribution to 1.08). They will probably see the light of day before the end of the year, though redink1 could probably give you a more definite statement on that. In addition, I'm still apparently going to become webmaster one of these days.
