If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
Yup, use dinkedit.exe.
(I'm assuming you have a mapless dmod right now) start the frontend and select your DMOD and click 'Edit'. Dinkedit should start, then you can select a screen and start mapping. I don't know where you could get a manual for it if you get confused.
