The Dink Network

Well, here goes. I run windows 200 professional. I've updated to Dink Smallwood version 1.07 and somehow my Dinkedit.exe never works. Pretty stupid since I remember this as a cool game and I downloaded it again to do some editing. When I doubleclick dinkedit.exe, I get the titlescreen (when I'm lucky) for a few seconds and than my computer just exits the program. Any suggestions on what to do? I really wanna have a look at that source.
