I think seniority often gets taken too seriously. People have things to say, or they don't. If they've been around longer, they'll have more to say, but ideas must be weighed on their own merits. IMHO.
Here, seniority works out well. I mean, you gotta re5pect Tal, because, as the Russian saying goes "Tal is Tal". (Wasn't Tal Latvian...? Maybe it's a Latvian saying.)
